Town Tour

Original name of Nonhyeon-dong comes from Non Hill. This hill is near the Nonhyeon Catholic Church and it was called the Non Hill since valley field was surrounded by fields and paddies from Yeongdong Post office to the Banpo Apartment. The history of Nonhyeon-dong was Unjumyeon, Gwangju-gun, Gyeonggi-do during the Joseon Dynasty. Ungubi temple and Buddhist language was combined to be called as Nonhyeonli.

The museum of Korean embroidery opened in 1976 to exhibit 3 thousand artifacts such as cloth, embroidery, fulling block, beads, hwamunseok, cabinets, costumes and jewelries through a constant collection.
